The configuration of PHOs in the South is in a period of transition, with the creation of a new Southern PHO for the whole of Southland and Otago.
A PHO Transitional Board has been appointed to oversee the creation of a single, community-owned, Otago-Southland PHO, which will have the responsibility of delivering coordinated and cost effective primary and community care programmes across the region.
